OUR MISSION
Along with popularity of Japanese restaurants in North America, sushi has become widespread in the life of Americans. However, together with that market growth, shortage of sushi chefs and levels of their skills have become matters of concern. Miyako Sushi & Washoku School was founded to overcome those issues and support Japanese restaurant industry. We are a culinary school of authentic Japanese cuisine for future sushi chefs and fully provides essential skills to our students to meet the demand of the industry.
Under the mission of producing successors to authentic Japanese cuisine, Mutual Trading Co., Inc., the premier Japanese food supplier and Katsu-ya Group, the mainstream sushi restaurant are united to offer future chefs great opportunities to establish their skills and careers.
Miyako Sushi & Washoku School provides courses for from chef trainees to experienced chefs. Katsuya Uechi produces the programs through his experience as a chef and shares his passionate philosophy.
